Important Update from SD Inline Hockey League!

by Daryn Goodwin

Gulls Learn to Play starts this Saturday!

We are super excited to announce that we have 28 brand new players signed up for our Learn-To-Play program at Escondido Sports Center.   Please come early this Saturday!!!!  There is a huge Cross Country Run (we just found out) so parking may be tough this Saturday.  If your child needs to be outfitted with equipment, we suggest you show up at 745AM!   Please understand, the Gulls were kind enough to give 15 sets of gear, not including skates.  We have rounded up more sets of gear to make sure everyone is covered, but the first players that signed up will have priority on the Gulls Equipment.

We are doing our best to provide gear and skates for everyone in need and feel confident that everyone will have equipment needed to participate.  We’ve heard from many of you on skate needs, and if we’ve corresponded we’ve got you covered.  If you haven’t told us your skate size and need skates, we need to know that in the next 24 hours to make sure your child has skates.  Email daryn@sdinlinehockey.com ASAP.

YOUTH LEAGUE

Same situation with this Saturday, SHOW UP EARLY!  We suggest being there at 9AM.   Our plan is to have an evaluation scrimmage/practice to select teams this Saturday.  The more advanced Learn to Play players are welcome to stay to see if they may be a good fit for the Youth League.

The league will be sizing players for jerseys and we are going to equip players with unreal sublimated jerseys from Grasshopper Gamewear.  The jerseys will be provided by the league, but handed back at the end of the season.  If players fall in love with the jerseys, they will be able to purchase them to keep for $50.  We will be sizing everyone this Saturday.

MIDDLE SCHOOL LEAGUE

First skate to kick off our new season is this Friday with the middle school league at 6pm.  Please show up between 530-545 to check in.  Teams will be picked and jerseys for the season will be handed out.  Practices will be on Monday and Tuesday at 6pm, so please let us know which practice day works better for you immediately so we can both, balance the teams and attempt to give you a practice slot that fits with your busy family schedule.

High School League

Team Rosters for the FALL League can now be viewed at http://www.sdinlinehockey.com/high-school-team-rosters.   If you singed up for the league and do not see your name on a roster, please contact us ASAP.

The league starts next Wednesday with a 2 mini-scrimmages for each team.  A schedule for next week, as well as the schedule for the season, including practice times, will be posted by the weekend on our website and Facebook Page.

If you have any questions about the upcoming Fall Season, email daryn@sdinlinehockey.com

Thanks for reading and we hope you are as excited as we are for the new season!
